This year marks our 10th annual Concerts on the Dock and it is sure to live up to it’s longevity! As per every proceeding year we will continue to strive to bring our music loving community the freshest sounds available without sacrificing quality for quantity.  Our mission is to bring all who attend the best in local, regional and national acts they simply would not see anywhere else in town and provide those acts with a gracious built in audience hungry for the next big thing.

We can’t make this happen without YOU so bring friends, picnics and pets on a leash to Huntsville’s most accessible concert series and join us under the water tower for 8 weeks in the Spring and 8 weeks in the Fall.
Concerts on the Dock are always free to attend though we do charge $5 for parking on property. Please Carpool!

August 17, 2018, 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Join us for Concerts on the Dock with the Dawn Osborne Band! Their smooth and rich sound is rooted in Jazz, Soul, Folk, and Funk mixed skillfully into what can only be described as true Americana. In addition to the varied feel of their original music, The Dawn Osborne Band also takes beloved classics and give them a whole new flavor, uniquely their own.

August 24, 2018, 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Based out of Montgomery, AL Blue Yonder has carved one of the most distinctive musical identities in the capital city, combining Americana, folk, Ameripolitan, and parlor in a way that’s both haunting and exhilarating, capturing the mood of what critic Greil Marcus once called “that old, weird America.” Listen to their debut EP featuring some of their most rooted tracks; a 5 song grouping that shows a glimpse into their beginnings with hints of the direction

August 31, 2018, 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Join us for Concerts on the Dock with Adron! Named Best Songwriter of 2012 by the Atlanta-based arts and culture magazine Creative Loafing, Adron is rapidly being recognized as one of the most uniquely gifted songwriters and vocalists of this generation. She has managed to unite audiences from wildly far-flung backgrounds, age groups, and subcultures with her universally communicative and infectious music. In a style nearly impossible to describe using the terms of conventional genres, she playfully blends Brazilian samba, bossa nova, and Tropicália with the sincerity and thoughtfulness of singer-songwriters like Joni Mitchell and Harry Nilsson, and the full-bodied rhythms of 1970’s pop and r&b. Be on the lookout for her upcoming album “Water Music.”

“By combining elements of surreal, personal narratives and her quasi-Brazilian-style strum, Adron’s songs [are] at once baroque and hypnotic.” –Creative Loafing, Atlanta, GA
“Born as it is out of a true love for tradition, Adron’s inclusion of world music elements never feels trite or tacked on; her music is as warm and spirited as the cultures that have inspired it.” -Flagpole, Athens, GAthe band is heading.

September 7, 2018, 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Join us for Concerts on the Dock with Lady Lace. Audiences will feel the power of her full voice that bears testament to her talent, and punctuated throughout with elements of hip-hop, gospel, rap and R&B.

Tangled String Studios is excited to present The Jon Stickley Trio! You do not want to miss this tremendously talented band doing what they do best— creating pure joy through what can only be described as exhilarating music. Seating is limited so don’t delay. Feel free to bring your own beverage of choice!
Jon Stickley Trio is a genre-defying and cinematic instrumental trio, who’s deep grooves, innovative flatpicking, and sultry-spacy violin moves the listener’s head, heart, and feet. “It’s not your father’s acoustic-guitar music—Instead, Stickley’s Martin churns out a mixture of bluegrass, Chuck Berry, metal, prog, grunge, and assorted other genres—all thoroughly integrated into a personal style,” writes Guitar Player Magazine.
Premier Guitar says, “Stickley’s trio… is not a traditional bluegrass group by any means… they are just nimble and ambitious enough to navigate EDM-style breakbeats as effortlessly as the old timey standard ‘Blackberry Blossom.’”

West Coast style swing dance every Tuesday night at the Flying Monkey Theatre at Lowe Mill A&E. Come out for beginner lessons at 7:00 PM to learn the basics, then stick around for open dance at 8:00 PM to show off your moves.
